Click It or Ticket
Click It or Ticket is an annual national high-visibility seat belt law enforcement mobilization that is credited with increasing the national seat belt usage rate from 58 percent in 1994 to an estimated 86 percent in 2012—an all-time high rate. It takes place around Memorial Day, combining stepped up enforcement of state seat belt laws with national and state media campaigns.
The message is aimed primarily at men ages 18 to 34, who research shows are less likely to wear seat belts. Statistics also indicate fewer people buckle up at night, so recent campaigns have focused on nighttime enforcement.

GHSA and its State Highway Safety Office (SHSO) members are working closely with law enforcement agencies and other partners to support the mobilization.
