Kevin E. Quinlan was posthumously awarded the Kathryn J.R. Swanson Public Service Award. His wife Joan accepted the award. Next to her are NTSB Chairman Debbie Hersman, and Kevin's co-workers Stephanie Davis and Danielle Roeber.	A Peter K. O'Rourke Special Achievement Award was presented to the Illinois Operation Teen Safe Driving Program. Accepting the award are: Mike Stout (Illinois DOT Division of Traffic Safety), Susan Duchak (The Allstate Foundation), and Jim Graham (Ford's Driving Skills for Life).
Mary DePrez, Director and Counsel for Trial Court Technolgy of the Indiana Supreme Court, accepts the Division of State Court Administration Judicial Technology & Automation Committee's Peter K. O'Rourke Special Achievement Award.	Maryland's Task Force to Combat Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Alcohol was also presented with a Peter K. O"Rourke Special Achivement Award. GHSA Chairman Vernon Betkey accepts on behalf of the Task Force.
New Jersey Governor's Highway Safety Representative Pam Fischer with a Peter K. O'Rourke Special Achievement Award for the New Jersey Teen Driver Study Commission.	Major Daniel Londsorf, Wisconsin Highway Safety Coordinator, accepts a Peter K. O'Rourke Special Achievement Award on behalf of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal.

The interactive Rock Band games set up outside the ballroom were a popular diversion . . .	. . . while a "real" rock band (The Lawmen) entertained guests inside the ballroom!
