Kate Voegele, Singer-songwriter, Actress and
Ford Driving Skills for Life Spokesperson

Kate Voegele

Singer/Songwriter/Actress and
Ford Driving Skills for Life Spokesperson

Performing during the Opening Reception, Sunday, August 25

Kate Voegele first picked up a guitar at the age of 15 and hasn't put it down since. Her self-described "insatiable curiosity" prompted her to start writing songs. Her simple goal for her music is to make people feel good.

The 24-year-old singer/songwriter's three commercial releases – Don’t Look Away, A Fine Mess, and the most recent Gravity Happens – have sold over 500,000 albums and 300,000 singles downloads. Her acting credits include One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected.

Since 2010, Kate has served as a spokesperson and advocate for Ford Driving Skills for Life (Ford DSFL), including multiple tour promotions, live appearances on the Price is Right, NASCAR events, at Ford DSFL events and online media features.

Kate grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and got her start started playing shows around her hometown and the Midwest. Her senior year, she played SXSW in Austin, and while in college, she signed on with a record label. Kate left college in Ohio to make a record and started touring and playing her music and acting on multiple seasons of the CW show One Tree Hill.

In addition to her music, acting, and work with Ford DSFL, Kate serves as an ambassador to TACA (Talk About Curing Autism) and recently hosted their annual Ante Up For Autism event in Laguna Beach, California. She also works with the Young Survival Coalition along with Oakley to support awareness and breast cancer research for the demographic of young, under 40 women who are affected.
