Lifesavers Conference Gears Up for Arizona
The 2011 Lifesavers Conference will be held March 27-29 in Phoenix with support from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. Lifesavers is the largest national highway safety meeting dedicated to reducing the toll of deaths and injuries on our nation’s roadways. Starting in the early 1980s, the Lifesavers conference attendance has grown steadily, drawing nearly 1,800 participants in 2010. Each year, the conference provides a forum that delivers relevant and timely common-sense solutions to today’s critical highway safety problems. Two news tracks—ones on Native American highway safety issues and one on distracted driving—with multiple workshops in each track will be offered.
