The mission of the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign is to prevent drunk driving tragedies by promoting the use of safe and sober designated drivers.
The HERO Campaign was established by the family of Navy Ensign John R. Elliott of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, who just two months after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy, was killed in a head-on collision with a drunk driver. The HERO Campaign is saving lives throughout New Jersey and surrounding states through partnerships with law enforcement, high schools, and colleges/universities, federal and state highway safety organizations, professional sports teams including the Philadelphia Phillies, the New York Giants, the New England Patriots, and sporting venues such as Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, KY.
