This project included a scan of publicly available SHSO social media channels and a series of interviews with NHTSA Regional Offices and a sample of nine SHSOs.
A summary report was written and published in 2019.
The final report includes promising practices designed to help inform planning and decision-making for the different platforms, provides examples of messages with high engagement rates and offers some real-world case studies. It also describes new and creative ways SHSOs are sharing information and ideas, as well as how these activities can be effectively measured.
