Lisa Wagner joins association during important time for traffic safety
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) is pleased to announce that Lisa Wagner has joined the association’s Washington, D.C.-based leadership team in the newly created role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Wagner is a results-driven nonprofit executive with more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, including managing federal and private sector grant programs, conference and strategic planning, human resources and information technology. She is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) by the American Society of Association Executives and is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. Prior to joining GHSA, Wagner was interim CFO at Innovative Association Solutions, after having served as CFO at Solar Energy Trade Shows, LLC, and Vice President of Finance at the American Wind Energy Association for seven and nine years, respectively.
In her new position at GHSA, Wagner is responsible for overseeing and conducting all aspects of the association’s financial operations, including accounting, audits, grant administration, reporting, tax compliance, information technology and human resources. As a key member of the GHSA leadership team reporting directly to GHSA Executive Director Jonathan Adkins, Wagner will establish and execute the association’s strategic financial direction and create a roadmap for future growth.

Wagner was selected after a nationwide search conducted by Association Strategies, Inc., an executive search and recruitment firm based in Alexandria, Va.
