Distracted driving is a pervasive but preventable problem that requires a comprehensive approach. GHSA and General Motors partnered to provide grants to two State Highway Safety Offices and a nonprofit to pilot three different approaches to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving. Hear how the Washington Traffic Safety Commission partnered with the Pierce County Target Zero Coalition to pilot a distracted driving prevention project in the state’s second most populated county. Learn about how the District Highway Safety Office is testing cameras to detect distracted driving and utilizing neighborhood-specific awareness campaigns.
