Insurance Journal: Pedestrian Traffic Deaths About 50% Than a Decade Ago

The Missouri Department of Transportation was recently awarded a national grant to help fund a youth safety initiative known as “traffic gardens.”

Volunteers from the "Street Smart" organization took to Georgia Avenue in Northwest D.C. during morning rush hour, serving as "walking billboards" to promote road safety.

GHSA and the National Road Safety Foundation are funding projects in rural and underserved areas to provide safe options for youth walking, biking and/or riding scooters.
