2026 Pedestrian Spotlight Reports: Pedestrian Traffic Fatalities by State: 2025 Preliminary Data (January-June) and Pedestrian Traffic Fatalities by State: 2025 Preliminary Data and 2024 FARS Data (January-December) 

The mini and full reports provide a first look at the data and, in the full report, share what State Highway Safety Offices and their partners are and can do to reduce motor-vehicle-related fatalities involving pedestrians. The methodology used to conduct the data analysis for the 2026 Spotlight Reports should be consistent with the methodology used for the Pedestrian Traffic Fatalities by State: 2024 Preliminary Data (January-June) and the Pedestrian Traffic Fatalities by State: 2024 Preliminary Data (January-December) reports.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
