
Mantill Williams serves as Chief Communications Officer of the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), where he leads efforts to strengthen the organization’s brand, enhance communications and drive engagement across all platforms.
An award-winning association executive, Williams has more than 30 years of experience in public relations, digital media, advocacy outreach, marketing and advertising. He has served as a spokesperson and secured media placements for staff and volunteer leaders in top-tier outlets, including ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS, National Public Radio, Bloomberg Radio, CNBC Radio, CBS News Radio, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, the New York Times, Fortune, the Wall Street Journal, Time and more.
Prior to joining GHSA, Williams was Vice President of Public Relations and Communication Strategy at the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the nation’s largest trade association. In this role, he developed integrated communications strategies that more than tripled NAR’s presence in leading media and real estate publications.
Before NAR, Williams spent 12 years as Director of Advocacy Communications for the American Public Transportation Association, where he led public relations, grassroots outreach and advertising campaigns in support of federal transportation funding, helping secure an 18% increase in public transit investment.
Earlier in his career, Williams served as National Director of Public Relations and spokesperson for AAA on traffic safety and travel issues. He also held leadership roles at the American Trucking Associations Safety Management Council.
