Families for Safe Streets was recognized by GHSA for its work advocating for practical solutions to improve roadway safety and supporting families of loved ones killed or injured in traffic crashes.
Families for Safe Streets celebrated a major policy achievement in the first year after its creation – lowering the speed limit to 25 mph in New York City. Families for Safe Streets now has 18 chapters across the country and is a national leader in helping people turn unimaginable loss into policy and legislative changes to make our streets safer.
