The Piscataway Promotes Safe Streets comprehensive speed enforcement campaign has led to a significant reduction in speed related collisions on residential 25 mph roadways. Reduction in speeds and subsequent collisions have resulted in enhanced public safety for the community. At the start of this campaign, an objective was set to reduce speed related collisions on residential 25 mph roadways by 3%. These collisions have since decreased by 5.34%, exceeding the goal for the program. Since the implementation of this comprehensive speed enforcement campaign, there has not been a fatal collision related directly to speed on any active focus street.
